Hello my sweet scrappers,

I was given a great splurge of encouragement and excitement from Close to my Heart (CTMH) convention last month and really want to share the love with what I love to do!  I was hoping you would consider having a gathering from me next month?  We always have soo much fun with these and I really want to get back on track with my small business.

I can do several different type gatherings or workshops for you and your friends! 

·         I can do the traditional gathering, where I will have a sweet simple but impressive “make and take” – where you and your friends will make a paper craft and take it with them!  And then I can point out a few things that CTMH offers in products and the like.  If you were to earn a gathering of $150 in sales, you would automatically receive $25 in CTMH product credit …. If you would like to have a strictly on-line party we can do that as well!

Workshops are also a lot of fun! 

·        I can do a workshop! There are several, numerous options in fact, for workshops!  We can do a traditional, ”Workshop on the go” (Card workshop or Scrapbooking workshop) where CTMH puts everything together for you: instructions, scrapbook paper, embellishments and a sweet sweet stamp set.  I will have a sample for everyone to view and will walk everyone through it with tips and tricks! Sweet Post-it/Pen Holder – Lisa Laski

This sweet lil’ paper craft is perfect for teachers, office buddies, friends, craft shows, etc. I utilized two of our sweet Close to my Heart (CTMH) cartridges: Artise and Art Philosophy.  I also utilized the Blossom paper pack , Colonial White cardstock and Honey cardstock.

Supplies: 

Cardstock, B & T patterned paper, adhesive, glue dots,  bone folder or our super sweet CTMH score board, paper cutter, 3x3 Post-It Notes (found at the dollar store with six to a pack!), Velcro dots (found at Walmart for a couple of dollars for a pack of 20!) and sweet little pens (found at dollar store with three to a pack!).

Directions

Circuit Cuts:

       Artise:

1)        Use the base cardstock (Colonial White cardstock) to create your base of your paper craft. This is found within the Artise cartridge (pg. 60, Card, Family key) set for 3 inches.

2)      Use the B & T (Blossom paper pack) for accent pieces also using the same cut: Artise cartridge (pg. 60, Card, Family key) set for 3 inches.

3)      For the bow, use the cardstock (Honey cardstock) for your bow found also within the Artise cartridge.  The bow takes two separate cuts, BOTH found on pg. 55: 1) Accents 2, G, set for 1 inch 2) pg 55, Accents 2, G, set for 1 inch.

4)      For the pen holder, use the cardstock (Honey cardstock) and cut 1 x 3 with your paper cutter.

Art Philosophy:

5)      Use remnant of the B&T (Blossom) for front and center soft rounded square (I’m lazy – didn’t want to have to cut by hand/cutter and corner edges – also another way of doing this!) found within the Art Philosophy cartridge (pg 23, <Square 1>, 2 ¾ inches).  I also have the circuit juke box, which makes it waaay easy to utilize cutting from 6 Cricut cartridges at a time!

Assembly:

1)        Take base cardstock (colonial white) cut and note the four slits.  Score each of those slits utilizing your sweet score board or paper cutter score or bone folder using paper cutter for a perfect straight line.  Fold at the scores. Set aside.

2)      Take your B & T (Blossom) cut and cut the top fold area.  Then cut two perfect 3 inch squares from remaining portion of the cut.

3)      Adhere the two perfect 3 inch cut square solid color on the top and bottom portions of the base.

4)      Adhere the one soft squared B & T on top solid corner square.

5)      Take pen holder cut and fold evenly, place pen within fold to measure/ensure pen will fit, use adhesive (preferably a glue dot for greater strength) to glue together.  Remove pen.  Adhere pen holder to lower portion of top square inside (adjust to pen height). 

6)      Adhere post-it notes on bottom top inside portion of base cut, leaving the pen holder covered over with the adhering of the post-it notes.

7)      Adhere cut off B & T flap slightly below the base flap, showing a slight trim of base.

8)      Bow: Take bow cut and take ends and fold together, meeting at the middle of cut.  Adhere (preferably glue dot) to glue each side to the middle.  Take the second straight cut for bow and adhere with the ends folder together to BACK of bow – matching previous gluing together of bow. Flip – perfect bow!  Adhere bow to the front flap – covering small circle cutouts.

9)      Adhere Velcro dots: rough side dot on inside of flap and soft dot to match to top of B & T soft square.

Tadaa!  You’re done!  Post me pics with your creations!  I’d love to see them!  It’s always fun and healthy to share our creativity!
